Dr. Walter Häberling, LL.M.

Walter Häberling is a partner in the dispute resolution team and real estate & construction industry group and has been with the firm for more than 20 years. He represents clients in commercial, real estate and certain private clients litigation and arbitration proceedings. Before joining MLL, he worked for 7 years with two different district courts in the Canton of Zurich, two of which as a district and rental court judge. Thus, he knows from his own experience what counts in judges’ minds.

In international commercial litigation and arbitration, he prefers bigger proceedings with complex contested factual issues, technical or historical aspects, where he can employ his skills to investigate matters thoroughly, get to the bottom of a case, to cross-examine witnesses carefully and to present a case to the court or arbitration panel based on solid evidence.

He has wide-ranging experience in real estate matters with a special focus on commercial lease law. The experience and skills acquired as head and chairman of the conciliation authority in rental matters for four years is still an advantage for his clients in his daily practice of rental or lease law. International inheritance matters and execution of wills are his main areas of work for private clients.
