Profile

May-Si Hau is a senior associate, responsible for the China Desk in Geneva and practicing in the firm’s corporate department. As a native Chinese speaking Swiss qualified attorney, she strengthens the commercial relationship between Switzerland and China.

May-Si Hau advises Swiss and international clients in M&A, Private Equity and restructuring transactions as well as in their activities relating to China. Furthermore, she assists Chinese individuals and companies when investing in Switzerland. Her experience in cross-border transactions enables her to anticipate and identify requirements and issues particularly in the Chinese environment.

In addition, May-Si Hau regularly advises clients in setting up a company and provides support in so-called corporate housekeeping and in corporate governance matters. Her activity also includes advice on commercial contracts as well as on relocation aspects to Switzerland.

Before joining MLL Meyerlustenberger Lachenal Froriep Ltd, May-Si Hau graduated from the university of Lausanne, with specializations in business law and in litigation, magna cum laude. She continued with postgraduate studies with a Master of Advanced Studies (M.A.S.) in Business Law – LL.M./MBL, with high honours, from the Universities of Lausanne and of Geneva. May-Si Hau gained professional experience working as a junior legal counsel at Lonza. She joined a well renowned law firm based in Lausanne as a junior associate. She then worked as Ad hoc law clerk in the district courts in Lausanne and in Nyon, where she gained practical experience in civil proceedings. May-Si Hau is a native French and Cantonese speaker and is fluent in English and in German.
