Malik Ong is an associate in the firm’s DLT (Blockchain) & FinTech team. He advises and represents corporate and private clients in financial markets regulatory and civil law matters. His practice focuses on banking, anti-money laundering, Blockchain, FinTech and Cryptocurrencies.
Prior to joining MLL, Malik gained experience at domestic and international law firms in Zug, Zurich and Shanghai, worked at the Federal Administrative Court as well as in an international consulting firm in Switzerland.
Malik acquired a Bachelor’s and Master’s degree in law and economics from the University of St. Gallen and completed two exchange semesters at the Donghua University, Shanghai and at the University of California, Santa Barbara. During and after his studies, he was research assistant at the University of St. Gallen and at the University of Zurich, with a research focus on disruptive technologies and blockchain in international finance.
