Profile

Christian Rebell is a partner in MLL’s Corporate an M&A team. He specializes on corporate law and M&A, financings and capital market law. Christian regularly advises clients on domestic and cross-border M&A and financing transactions, the structuring and dissolution of joint ventures, restructurings and corporate governance matters.

Christian has a strong track record on advising international clients in the acquisition of Swiss companies in a broad range of industries. He also regularly advises venture capital funds on investments in tech and biotech start-ups. He regularly publishes in his areas of expertise.

Christian studied in Switzerland, Germany and England. He holds a Ph. D. from the University of Berne and an LL.M. degree from King’s College London. He is a bilingual native speaker of German and French and also fluent in English.

  • Advised SIX listed Julius Baer Group Ltd on its Series C investment in digital assets banking platform SEBA Bank Ltd
  • Advised the Swiss-based Lakeward Group on the sale of a portfolio of real estate assets in Berlin to CBRE Investment Management
  • Advised the private sellers of ancosys GmbH, a globally leading provider of chemical analysis and metrology solutions for advanced semiconductor manufacturing, on the sale of the company to Nova Ltd, which is dual-listed at Nasdaq (NVMI) and the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange (NOVA)
  • Advised Müller-Steinag group on the acquisition of Creabeton Matériaux Ltd. Müller-Steinag is an owner-managed, independent family enterprise with around 1,150 staff members and activities in the areas of concrete products, natural construction materials, recycling, waste management and water technology. Creabeton Matériaux is a leading manufacturer of pre-fabricated concrete products in the French part of Switzerland, with four important production facilities and approx. 380 staff members
  • Advised ASX listed Bigtincan Holdings Limited on the acquisition of Vidinoti SA, a Swiss leader in the area of augmented reality
  • Advised the Wienerberger group, a global leader of smart solutions for building infrastructure, on the sale of its Swiss affiliate ZZ Wancor AG to the swisspor group
  • Advised Goebel Capital GmbH, active in the security printing business, in the acquisition of Müller Martini Druckmaschinen GmbH from the Mueller Martini group
  • Represented Martello Technologies Corporation, a global provider of digital experience monitoring solutions, in the acquisition of GSX Participations SA
  • Represented the French aircraft manufacturer Dassault Aviation in its acquisition the business jet maintenance activities from the Swiss aerospace and defense group RUAG
  • Represented a leading Swedish venture capital fund in the Series B financing round of Frontify AG, an internet start-up active in the development of software for digital brand management
